INSPIRATIONAL SUNDAYS – FOOD FLAGS

The last post of today continues to follow the “food art” topic. To promote the Sydney International Food Festival, advertising agency, WHYBIN\TBWA were challenged to recreate multiple country’s flags by using the foods they are commonly associated with.

Here are my six favourite food flags and their ingredients:

1 – Thailand – sweet chilli sauce, shredded coconut, blue swimmer crab

2 – Brazil – banana leaf, limes, pineapple, passion fruit

3 – Vietnam – rambutan, lychee, starfruit

4 – India – two types of curries, rice, pappadum wafer

5 – UK – scone, clotted cream, blueberry and strawberry jam

6 – Italy – basil leaves, spaghetti, tomatoes

Art can be colour, texture, and design; it can be music, fashion, and architecture. This undefinable spirit is all around us, every day. It has the ability to change our moods and our perspectives.
