Emotional Banters #3

One short but unforgettable chapter of my life has ended, and another one will begin very shortly. 

Yesterday was my workplace goodbye dinner. I will be transferring to a new branch closer to home. No longer will I have to commute two hours by three separate modes of public transportation. Perhaps, I’ll even begin to have more work-life balance. 

Although the relocation seems to be more beneficial, my farewell was bittersweet. I received unexpected cards and presents. I almost cried before my workday began. The above Winnie the Pooh card is just an example of what I got. The heartfelt messages made me realize how much these beautiful people have touched my life and the surprising ways I’ve affected their’s. In slightly over a year, we have created such supportive and loving friendships with one another. From workplace despair to personal-life tribulations, this loud and vibrant bunch has filled such a big space in my heart. I will never forget the conversations we had, nor the feelings we shared. 

I understand that only certain friendships will continue to flourish, while others will fade in time, but I genuinely hope for brighter futures for these unique individuals. 

I am so sad about moving on…
