NEW YORK CITY – Review Part I (Hotel)
Not much sightseeing was done on our first day in New York. Traveling internationally and settling in to our accommodations was exhausting enough. The 33ºC (92ºF) weather only worsened our fatigue. We squeezed in a sushi lunch and bought groceries before retreating to our room at the Affinia Dumont.
The clean and spacious Affinia Dumont hotel is located in east midtown Manhattan on 34th Street (between Lexington Avenue and 3rd Avenue). The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. It is rated 92% on TripAdvisorand 4 out of 5 stars on Expedia, Travelocity, and Hotels.com.
