Ever since I saw Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette back in 2006, it had been my dream to eat macarons. As soon as I saw the luscious colours on film, and the delicate crumble of soft almond meringue fall from Kirsten Dunst’s fingertips, I was encaptured by this lavish treat. Before that point, the existence of macarons was unknown to me. Online research quickly led me towards the wonderful world of Ladurée.
